Social Services Assistance Program
The Bear River Band of Rohnerville Rancheria’s Social Services Department is designed and dedicated to serve the Tribal Community and individual members and their families. The mission of the Social Services Department is to help Tribal Members of all ages to be happy, healthy, self- sufficient and productive. Our goal is to support individuals and build a healthy productive Tribal Community.
The Department administers a broad range of services including: Elder Clothing Assistance, Adult Clothing Assistance and Children Clothing Assistance, Emergency Food Assistance, Utilities Assistance, Household Assistance, Sports & Recreation, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), Yurok Food Commodities, Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Box Programs.
Educational/Informational Workshops are offered on a wide range of topics throughout the year by program staff or in collaboration with community and regional partners. The Department offers Indian Child Welfare Advocacy and Assistance on behalf of Indian Children.
