Transportation

We provide safe transportation to our Tribal Elders and Tribal Members living within the Humboldt County area. Minors must be accompanied by legal guardian or parent.

  • Elders Medical Appointment Transportation
  • Elders Daily Business Transportation
  • Children Medical Appointments
  • Bus Pass Program

Currently we offer transportation to elders for all medical related appointments including prescription pick up.  In addition we offer services to elders to complete banking, shopping and bill paying needs.  Services are only offered to tribal members living in the Humboldt County area.  We look forward to expanding our services to elders to be able to attend more tribal functions.

We also offer transportation for tribal children to and from medical appointments.  A parent or legal guarding must be present while transporting minor children to their medical appointments.  Services are only offered to tribal children living in the Humboldt County area.

The department has taken the lead with the bus pass program formerly maintained by social services.  We do offer bus passes to tribal members at no charge.  Bus passes are reserved for tribal members to make it to and from school, work, minor medical needs, grocery shopping and transportation to the tribal office.  The Humboldt Transit Authority now comes to Tish Non Village Monday through Friday. For route times and locations check out their website.

As our current tribal shuttle program prioritizes elder services and children’s medical needs we are open to helping out when we can in other areas.  Please feel free to give us a call at 707-733-1900 Ext 293 or 707-599-3348 for scheduling availability.

The Tish Non Community Transit Service will begin July 6, 2015. The full schedule can be viewed here HTA RTS Back July 2015.
